MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) - Tatsiana Khaladovich of Belarus won the Women’s Javelin Throw event at the 2018 IAAF Diamond League final in Zurich, Switzerland, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian threw 66.99m in her best attempt to clinch gold. Second was Liu Shiying of China (66.00m). Bronze went to Kara Winger of the United States (64.75m). In early June the Belarusian set a new national record of 67.47m winning gold at the 2018 Diamond League in Oslo.

At the start of August Tatsiana Khaladovich finished fifth at the 2018 European Athletics Championships.

At the 2018 IAAF Diamond League final in Zurich javelin throwers competed for $50,000. The winner also got a special prize with a diamond and an invitation for the 2019 IAAF World Championships in Doha.
