Summer Amphitheater gears up for Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk

Summer Amphitheater gears up for Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk

VITEBSK, 7 July (BelTA) – The installation of equipment is in full swing on the main stage of the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, BelTA learned from the festival directorate.

The main design concept pays tribute to the history of the festival, celebrating the colorful story it has been writing over the past 34 years. “More than 20 LED screens will be installed on the stage. They are designed to resemble ancient tablets, birch bark manuscripts and handwritten chronicles, creating a symbolic link with historical documents that preserve the story of our multifaceted festival. The equipment is upgraded every year, and all installation and technical support throughout the festival is provided exclusively by Belarusian specialists. We hope that long-time fans of Slavianski Bazaar will appreciate the new design of the main concert venue. The stage design will help bring to life the brightest chapters in the festival's history,” the directorate said.

A catwalk extending into the audience will once again be installed. Having proved popular in recent years, it allows performers to move closer to spectators, creating a more immersive atmosphere. Rising stage elements will make the performances even more spectacular.

“Artists have greatly appreciated this technical solution, and so have audiences. It creates the feeling that performers are part of the audience. There will also be new features, but we would rather keep them secret until the festival begins,” the organizers noted.

The festival team is also planning another interactive experience involving the audience, although details remain under wraps. In 2025, spectators received special wristbands that lit up in the dark, creating the effect of a sparkling sea when people waved their hands. Visitors will discover this year’s surprise during the festival.

The 35th edition of the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk will take place from 16 to 19 July, with the opening concerts already scheduled for 14 July.
