Some 7,000 viewers watch Belarus’ Kupala Theater’s Weltmeister Accordion online

MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – Around 7,000 people watched the online streaming of the performance/concert Weltmeister Accordion within the framework of the Week of the Kupala Theater Online project, BelTA learned from the Yanka Kupala National Academic Theater.

The online streaming of the recorded performance was held on 31 March. “The Weltmeister Accordion production directed by Nikolai Pinigin attracted around 7,000 people from all over the world in one evening. The production was streamed on the YouTube channel of the theater. It was available for free in all parts of the world. The performance drew audience from three continents,” the theater said.

The online streaming of The Harvest, one of the productions performed on the Chamber Stage of the theater, is scheduled for 2 April. Dmitry Tishko’s production based on a play by modern Belarusian playwright Pavel Pryazhko was staged in Bobruisk (Belarus) and Paris in 2019 and in Moscow in 2020. The recorded performance will be streamed on the theater’s YouTube channel. Links to the online streaming will be available on the theater's website (kupalauski.by) and social network accounts from 18:00 2 April to 9:00 3 April.
