Sistine Chapel frescos on show in Minsk

Multimedia exhibition Michelangelo. The CreationMINSK, 18 February (BelTA) – The famous frescos of the Sistine Chapel in Vatican, namely the ceiling painting and the Last Judgment, are on display at a multimedia exhibition Michelangelo. The Creation which opened in Minsk on 18 February, BelTA learnt from the organizers of the exhibition.

The format of the exhibition was developed with the help of multimedia technologies and cinematography and is easily understood by the audience of an age category. The technology used to develop an exposition includes a multi-channel animation graphics, tens of up-to-date high-resolution projectors, huge screens and surround sound.

Multimedia exhibition Michelangelo. The CreationThe major part of the exhibition is dedicated to the greatest artist of the High Renaissance, Michelangelo Buonarroti, who was named Il Divino (the divine one) in his lifetime and whose influence on the art is still felt these days.

Multimedia exhibition Michelangelo. The CreationThe visitors of the exhibition will also get familiar with the works of other Renaissance giants such as Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Giotto, Botticelli, Tiziano and see Michelangelo’s famous sculptures in a 3D format – Pieta, Slaves, David, Moses.

“The exhibition Michelangelo. The Creation is not just an emotional and beautiful show but also a powerful educational platform that will tell its visitors a lot about Michelangelo and his works, as well as about the Renaissance age in general,” the organizers says.

The CreationThe masterpieces of Michelangelo and his contemporaries brought alive on huge screens in combination with special effects and the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frideric Handel, Carl Orff is a bright emotional show that will bring the art of the Renaissance geniuses closer to the present-day viewer.

The exhibition will stay open in the TSEKH Gallery (16 Oktyabrskaya Street) through 17 April.
