Shymanovich, Kozyreva advance to Megasaray Hotels Open doubles quarterfinals

MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) – Belarus’ Iryna Shymanovich and Russian Maria Kozyreva have reached the doubles quarterfinals at the WTA-125 tournament in Antalya, Turkiye, BelTA has learned.

In the opening match, the Belarusian-Russian pair confidently defeated the Bulgarian-Turkish duo of Dia Evtimova / Selina Atay, 6-3, 6-2. In the match for a spot in the semifinals, Shymanovich and Kozyreva will compete against the Slovenian pair of Dalila Jakupović / Nika Radišić. In the first round of the singles draw, Iryna Shymanovich lost to Carole Monnet of France, 0-6, 3-6.

The competition on the outdoor clay courts of Megasaray Hotels will conclude on 15 March.
