Scientists of Belarus, Moldova eager to implement more joint projects

CHISINAU, 26 March (BelTA) – Scientists of Belarus and Moldova will expand bilateral cooperation and increase the number of joint projects. The issue was on the agenda of the meeting between Head of the Belarusian Fundamental Research Fund Sergei Gaponenko and President of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova Gheorghe Duca, BelTA learned from the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.

The sides discussed relations between the academies of sciences of Belarus and Moldova. They also discussed the forthcoming contest of joint projects with the participation of researchers of the two countries. The Belarusian side put forward proposals regarding new financing aspects.

The president of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova praised the scientific cooperation between the academies of sciences of the two countries and expressed eagerness to raise the number of joint projects with Belarusian colleagues. Gheorghe Duca is convinced that researchers will take a more active part in the contest of joint projects, and the relations and cooperation between the academies will be increasingly vibrant.

Sergei Gaponenko, in turn, stressed that the Belarusian side is interested in raising the number of joint projects with Moldovan researchers and will explore new avenues of efficient and mutually beneficial cooperation.
