Sabalenka remains 7th in WTA

MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus remained seventh in the recently published WTA rankings, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian currently holds 5,085 points. This week Aryna Sabalenka is set to play in Stuttgart, Germany. The Belarusian will open the tournament against China’s world number 40 Zhang Shuai. Former world number one Victoria Azarenka currently goes 15th with 3,625 points. Aliaksandra Sasnovich is 93rd with 878 points, Olga Govortsova is 142nd with 579 points.

2. Naomi Osaka (Japan) – 7,985
3. Simona Halep (Romania) – 6,965 
4. Sofia Kenin (United States) – 5,915

Belarus’ Egor Gerasimov goes 77th (946 points) in the ATP rankings. Ilya Ivashka is 111th with 713 points, Uladzimir Ignatik is 341st with 136 points. Egor Gerasimov and Ilya Ivashka are expected to play in Barcelona, Spain this week.
