MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) – Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka is back to the WTA Top 5, BelTA has learned.

A week ago the best Belarusian tennis player was 7th in the WTA rankings. She jumped up two spots after reaching the deciding match of the WTA Finals. Aryna Sabalenka currently goes with 3,925 points. This season she reached tournament finals three times, played 55 matches and won 33 of them. Former world number one Victoria Azarenka completes the season 27th with 1,597 points, Aliaksandra Sasnovich goes 31st with 1,428 points.

1. Iga Swiatek (Poland) - 11,085

2. Ons Jabeur (Tunisia) – 5,055

3. Jessica Pegula (USA) – 4,691

4. Caroline Garcia (France) – 4,375

5. Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) - 3,925

In the ATP rankings the best-placed Belarusian is Ilya Ivashka (76th with 705 points). Egor Gerasimov is 266th (191). 19-year-old Holger Rune of Denmark cracked the Top 10 for the first time defeating Novak Djokovic of Serbia in the Rolex Paris Masters final.
