Russian Science and Culture Center opens in Gomel

GOMEL, 21 November (BelTA) – An engine of any humanitarian cooperation is the education policy. Russia-Belarus traditional ties are associated with the uniform approaches to educational standards, certification, scientific school, exchange of students. We hope that all this will become part of the activities of the Russian Center for Science and Culture,” Lyubov Glebova, еру head of the federal agency for CIS affairs, compatriots living abroad, and for international humanitarian cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo), told reporters after the opening ceremony of Russian Science and Culture Center in Gomel.

She also reported that the center will work with talented young people. “Thanks to the center, Gomel young people will be able to take part in the programs to qualify for the federal scholarships,” said Lyubov Glebova.

The first event organized at the Gomel center was the exhibition “Dedication to Russia” by Nikolai Dulko, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, winner of several international awards in the field of visual arts.

The opening of the center coincided with the opening of the Tibetan Buddhist Art exhibition “Abode of Charity” from the State Hermitage Museum at the Palace of the Rumyantsevs and the Paskeviches in Gomel.
