Promotion tour for tour operators of Russia, Latvia, Poland across eastern Belarus

Repin’s museum-estate ZdravnevoMINSK, 9 October (BelTA)- The promotion tour “Eastern Belarus: New Facets of Tourist Routes” for tour operators and representatives of mass media of Russia, Latvia and Poland will be held from 11 to 14 October, BelTA learned from the National Tourism Agency of Belarus.

The tour across three regions of Belarus has been organized in order to develop tourism, build up the tourism capacity of the eastern regions of Belarus, engage more travel agencies, develop new routes connecting the sights of Vitebsk, Mogilev and Gomel regions, and to present new products.

The tour will involve 35 tour operators and representatives of mass media. The route will start with a visit to Polotsk, the ancient city of Belarus, and then will go to Vitebsk where the guests will be offered to go sightseeing, visit Marc Chagall’s places and Ilya Repin’s museum-estate Zdravnevo. The trip will also offer a glimpse into the history of the Belarusian nobility. A trip to an agro-eco facility is scheduled during the visit. A workshop together with Belarusian regional travel companies will be held in Mogilev. The tour will also take the guests to the memorial complex Krasny Bereg set up on the site of a former children's concentration camp built during WWII. In the village Krasny Bereg the guests will see Gatovsky’s Estate, a palace built in the Neo-Gothic and Neo-Renaissance architecture styles. In Gomel the participants will go on a tour around the city, visit the Vetka Museum of Old Believers and Belarusian Traditions.

The trip has been organized by the travel companies Ilva (Vitebsk), Mogilevoblturist, Grandtur (Gomel) with the support of the Belarusian National Tourism Agency.
