Polish travel agencies show interest in cooperation with Brest Oblast health resorts

BREST, 25 January (BelTA) – Polish travel operators are interested in developing cooperation with health resorts in Brest Oblast, BelTA learnt from head of the Brest Oblast department of the National Recuperation and Health Resort Treatment Center Nina Chopchits.

Brest Oblast was visited by directors of ten Polish travel agencies from Warsaw, Krakow, Lodz, Bialystok and Olsztyn. They were taken on a tour around spa resorts in Baranovichi, Pruzhany, Zhabinka and Brest Districts. The guests were shown seven health resorts. The Polish travel operators were most interested in the medical base of the health resorts, their treatment opportunities. Cooperation agreements were signed in every spa resort the Polish guests visited.

“It is the first visit of the Polish counterparts to our health resorts. We will continue efforts on expanding contacts. Since we border on each other it will be wrong not to develop these relations. We showed our guests which resources we have. We suggested organizing one more tour to demonstrate our sport facilities,” said Nina Chopchits.

In his words, representatives of the foreign delegation were happy to see what they were shown during the visit. They took note of the insufficient information about Belarusian health resorts in Poland and stressed that they are determined to close the gap posting publications of their visit to Belarus in the local mass media. Information about Belarusian spa resorts will be also presented at Polish tourist exhibitions.

There are 15 spa resorts in Brest Oblast. They are designed to accommodate 4,800 people. Apart from Belarusians about 17,000 foreigners recuperated in the spa resorts of Brest Oblast last year.
