Plans to make Austrian Cultural Season regular event in Belarus
MINSK, 10 November (BelTA) - The Austrian Cultural Season in Belarus may become a regular event, Belarus’ Culture Minister Boris Svetlov told reporters, BelTA has learned.
The Austrian Cultural Season will start in 2016 and will continue into the next year. “Maybe we will make it a regular event in Belarus,” the minister said.
He added that at the moment the parties are discussing a possibility of arranging the Belarusian Cultural Season in Austria.
For his part, Austrian Ambassador in Belarus Bernd Alexander Bayerl noted that Austrian Cultural Season includes a wide range of events. It is the largest cultural project that Austria has ever carried out in Belarus. Today Minsk will see the Viennese Gala Concert - Music from Vienna. Soloists of the Vienna State Opera together with the Presidential Orchestra of Belarus will perform pieces from Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Strauss, Franz Lehar and other composers.
