Pakistani film festival in Minsk to open with Bin Roye movie on 11 August

MINSK, 10 August (BelTA) – The Pakistan film festival opens in Minsk on 11 August with the film "Bin Roye” (Without tears), BelTA learned from the department of organizational work and information at the Culture Ministry of Belarus.

The opening ceremony at the Tsentralny cinema house will be attended by Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif (according to the preliminary data) and Belarus Culture Minister Boris Svetlov. The first film on the program will be Bin Roye (Without tears), a Pakistani romantic drama (116 min.). The film was released in July 2015. It is based on a story of the Pakistani writer Farhat Ishtiaq. Bin Roye was highly praised by critics.

The Tsentralny cinema house will offer the screening of the second festival film "The Strike” (130 min) at 16.30 on 12 August. This is a Pakistani action thriller and drama film directed by Bilal Lashari and written and produced by Hassan Waqas Rana. The film is a stylized depiction of events surrounding the war on terror in Pakistan, including the attack on the Police Academy at Lahore in 2009.

As was reported, the Prime Minister of Pakistan arrived in Belarus on an official visit on 10 August. It is expected that the Prime Minister will hold a series of meetings, visit some machine-building enterprises, and hold talks with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko.

The Belarus-Pakistan Business Forum will be held as part of the program of the official visit of the Pakistan Prime Minister to Minsk. Nawaz Sharif will also give a brief lecture to students and professors of the Belarusian State University.
