Over 500 companies to take part in Belagro 2016 expo

MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) – The international exhibition Belagro 2016 will open in Minsk on 7 June, BelTA has learned.

The expo will be held as part of the Belarusian Agro-Industrial Week on 7-11 June. The Belagro 2016 exposition will occupy 31,271 square meters on the territory of Minsk 1 Airport. Partaking in the exhibition will be 535 companies from 23 countries: Belarus, Austria, Bulgaria, the UK, Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, China, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, the United States, Turkey, Ukraine, France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Estonia.

23 official foreign delegations confirmed their participation in the expo. Among them are representatives of the agriculture ministries of Russia, Hungary, Georgia, Mongolia, Poland, Sri Lanka, Japan and other countries.

Collective expositions will be presented by the Agriculture and Food Ministry, Industry Ministry, National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, State Science and Technology Committee, Belneftekhim Concern, Bellegprom Concern, Belgospishcheprom Concern, Belcoopsoyuz, Emergencies Ministry, Architecture and Construction Ministry, other ministries and agencies, as well as the private sector and farms.

The participants of the 3rd Belarus-Russia Forum of Regions are expected to visit the exhibition Belagro 2016.

A number of international exhibitions, such as Belferma, Belprodukt, Food Industry and others, will be held as part of the Belagro 2016.

Companies from 23 countries took part in the exhibition last year. The expo was attended by 23 official delegations, including representatives of the agriculture ministries of Russia, Ukraine, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Namibia, the Republic of South Africa, Japan, the Netherlands, Ireland, Lithuania, Georgia, Kazakhstan and other states. The number of visitors exceeded 50,000 people.
