Over 15 countries to attend Brest 2018 forum of business contacts

BREST, 4 April (BelTA) – Representatives of more than 15 countries are expected to attend the 3rd international forum-exhibition of business contacts Brest which will run on 26-27 April, BelTA learned from Deputy Director General on Foreign Economic Cooperation of the Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Brest Sergei Telezhinsky.

It is already known that Brest will welcome a delegation from Vietnam’s Lao Cai Province, with which Brest Oblast signed an agreement on cooperation last year. The participation was also confirmed by business delegations from Russia’s Pskov, Bryansk, Udmurtia, Nizhnevartovsk and also Nikolayev, Zaporozhye and Zhitomir oblasts of Ukraine. A big business delegation is expected from Poland. The forum will also be attended by business representatives from Finland and Italy. Interest in the event is demonstrated by Georgia, Egypt and Turkey. Businessmen from Nigeria, Libya and Kazakhstan might take part in the forum as well.

In addition, invitations have been sent to official representatives of foreign states and international organizations. Brest will welcome representatives of diplomatic corps of the Czech Republic, Israel, Portugal, Guinea-Bissau.

The forum will provide opportunities to discuss topical issues of investment, establishment and strengthening of long-term cooperation in production, trade and services between Belarusian and foreign enterprises and companies. The forum will feature business meetings and B2B business matchmaking sessions.

The exhibition will present the economic potential of Brest Oblast and the country and include more than 15 thematic sections on power industry, mechanical engineering, tourism and business education. It is expected that more than 120 exhibitors will take part in the exhibition.

The event is organized by the Brest Oblast Executive Committee and the office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Brest.
