Our Children campaign set to reach over a million children across Belarus

MINSK, 11 December (BelTA) – In keeping with tradition, the national charity campaign Our Children is set to reach more than a million children this year, said Viktor Dovnar, Head of the Directorate for Ideological and Educational Work and Youth Policy at the Education Ministry, BelTA has learned.

The campaign will be running in Belarus from 15 December 2025 to 14 January 2026. “Senior officials, heads of central government agencies, state-run and other organizations, public associations, and representatives of civil society are set to visit over 150 institutions,” Viktor Dovnar noted. “These include orphanages, healthcare facilities, special education and rehabilitation centers, educational institutions, and family-type children’s homes. This year, in keeping with tradition, the campaign plans to reach more than a million of our children.”

This year, the campaign will be launched in Gomel, with the Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble as its main venue. “The opening of the nationwide campaign will be held via teleconference connecting all regions of the country,” he added. “All regional locations will be linked to Gomel, where senior officials from regional executive committees will welcome participants and creative performances will be presented. From there, the campaign will unfold nationwide.”
