Nine minutes to show best of Minsk to tourists

MINSK, 11 February (BelTA) – A short film titled as #iminskyou has been made in Minsk to demonstrate the opportunities the city can offer to tourists, BelTA learned from Yelena Plis, Director of the state enterprise Information and Tourism Center Minsk.

According to the source, a lot of videos about the architecture and the look of the city have been made already. “We just wanted to show the city’s welcoming attitude to its guests. We wanted to reveal the city’s cultural values and leisure opportunities,” said Yelena Plis.

The capital city of Belarus is demonstrated from the point of view of various characters — a couple in love, who spend their romantic weekend in the city, an investor, who specializes in hospitality business and explores elite leisure opportunities, and parents with their restless daughter on a quest to find entertainment for the entire family. The video will take viewers to Minsk Arena, to a picture gallery, to the circus and the zoo, to the Grand Opera and Ballet Theater, on board of an air balloon and other places.

The video production took place in Minsk hotels and cafes, casinos and the dolphinarium, parks and museums, a lot of places of interests inside and outside the city.

The video’s producer Maxim Taborov noted that the project was supposed to present a fresh, vivid, dynamic outlook on the city in addition to connecting passionate Minsk residents via the hashtag #iminskyou in social networks.

The film #iminskyou is expected to become part and parcel of Minsk’s image. At the same time it is not another commercial designed to be viewed on television in one session. Every episode of the film is a complete story, this is why viewers will be able to watch it in full and part by part. The film will be screened during foreign expos and presentations, on advertising displays across the city, on screens in cafes and hotels. It can already be viewed outdoors at 9 Pobeditelei Avenue.

The film has been made by a commercial studio on the order of the Minsk City Executive Committee for guests and residents of the city.
