New Belarusian books to go on show in Tashkent

MINSK, 8 August (BelTA) – New books of the Belarusian publishing industry will go on show at Made in Belarus exhibition in Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent, BelTA learned from the Information Ministry.

The exhibition will display the novelties of the fiction, educational and scientific literature of the Belarusian book publishing houses such as Mastatskaya Litarature, Belarus, Petrus Brovka Belarusian Encyclopaedia, Narodnaya Asveta, Vysheishaya Shkola, and others. The exhibition will comprise books that became notable publishing projects. For example, the event will feature a presentation of the supplemented edition Francysk Skaryna in World’s Languages, which well-known foreword to the book Judith was published in 65 languages. The poem of Belarusian poet Yanka Kupala Who Goes There? will be read in Uzbek at the presentation of the book Yanka Kupala. Who Goes There in World’s Languages. The book contains his translations into 100 languages. The exhibition will also include a presentation of the book by Mikola Malyavko to celebrate the Year of Native Land in Belarus. Readers will also be interested in getting familair with the book The Diary of the Cosmonaut's Wife, Oleg Novitsky and many others.

Showcasing their products will be more than 130 leading Belarusian organizations, including exporters of products, goods and services in various sectors: machinery and industrial equipment, agriculture and food products, petrochemical industry, woodworking and construction materials, light industry, healthcare and pharmaceutics, sports and tourism, transport and logistics scientific and technological achievements and education services, IT and telecommunications.

The exhibition is organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the government bodies of the two countries. The exhibition operator is Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Made in Belarus expo will take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on 14-19 September.
