More tourists in Belarus thanks to visa-free travel program
MINSK, 27 June (BelTA) – Thanks to the visa-free travel program Belarus has managed to attract a greater number of foreign tourists, Anna Mukha, the head of marketing and tourist services at the tourism department of the Sport and Tourism Ministry, told a press conference in BelTA’s press center.
“About 30,000 foreign nationals have visited Belarus since the president’s decree took effect. The main tourism areas are sport and culture,” Anna Mukha said.
Many sport fans have taken advantage of this opportunity and visited various major international sports competitions in Belarus such as the European Fencing U23 Championships, Junior & Master Classic Powerlifting Championships, and the European 10,000m Cup.
