Monument to Kosciuszko with plate in Belarusian, German installed in Switzerland

MINSK, 17 October (BelTA) – A monument to Tadeusz Kosciuszko with a plate in Belarusian and German was installed in the Swiss town of Solothurn, Charge d'Affaires a.i. of Belarus in Switzerland Pavel Matsukevich told BelTA.

“Today was the technical installation of the monument. The dedication ceremony is scheduled for 21 October,” the diplomat said.

The inscription plate in Belarusian and German reads: “To Tadeusz Kosciuszko. 1746-1817. From the Belarusian Association of Switzerland. 2017”.

“The text was approved by the city authorities,” Pavel Matsukevich said.

The Belarusian Association of Switzerland is the sole executor of the project: from the idea to the dedication ceremony.
