Moldova to host Days of Belarusian Culture

CHISINAU, 28 September (BelTA) – Days of Belarusian Culture will take place in Moldova on 30 September-2 October, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian embassy in Moldova.

The Culture Days will open in Chisinau with an exhibition of tapestry and a concert featuring the Belarusian State Ensemble of Folk Music Svyata at the Lunkevic National Philharmonic Hall.

The ensemble will also perform in the northern capital of Moldova, the city of Balti, on 1 October. On the same day the Chisinau Center of Culture and Art Odeon will host the screening of Belarusian films: Belye Rosy. Return and Apostles' Footprints.

On 2 October Odeon will host a presentation of Belarusfilm animated pictures and the feature film Brest Fortress.

The program of the Days will also include a meeting of the Belarusian delegation with representatives of the Belarusian diaspora in Moldova at the Belarusian Cultural Center that is currently being set up at the Belarusian-Moldovan joint venture Keramin Group.

The agreement to hold Days of Belarusian Culture in Moldova in autumn 2015 was reached after the meeting of the Belarusian-Moldovan intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation in Minsk on 15 July. It was also decided that the Days of Moldovan Culture will be held in Belarus in 2016.
