Minskers bring flowers to Russian embassy to pay tribute to Kemerovo fire victims

MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) – Minsk residents are leaving flowers near the Russian embassy in Belarus to pay respects to the victims of the shopping mall fire in Kemerovo, BelTA informs.

As BelTA reported earlier, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko extended condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kemerovo Oblast Governor Aman Tuleyev in view of the tragedy.

The fire in the four-storied shopping and entertainment complex Zimnyaya Vishnya (Winter Cherry) in the Russian city of Kemerovo broke out on 25 March. The blaze that killed more than 60 people started on the upper floor which included a number of cinema halls and children’s play zones. Kemerovo Oblast has declared three days of mourning starting from 27 March.
