Minsk to host PR-Kvetka international student forum 28-30 March

MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) – The eleventh installment of the open international student communications forum PR-Kvetka will take place at the Institute of Journalism of Belarusian State University from 28 to 30 March, BelTA learned from the organizers.

The forum is meant to promote cooperation between students, young specialists, and communication experts. The participants will see their future employers, get invitations for internship programs, broaden their experience, and acquire new knowledge in PR and advertisement. The event is expected to draw together over 600 people, among them students of Minsk-based and regional universities, graduates, young specialists, and business tutors.

This year, about 150 participants from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Iran will present their communications projects before the juries to vie for the podium. Out of the 56 applications submitted in the sections of commercial and non-commercial projects, 28 have made it to the final.

The forum will see master classes from the leading specialists in corporate communication. The list of speakers includes Chairman of the Board of IPR Belarus, consulting expert Igor Sokolov, Director of the communications agency PRCI.Storytellers Maria Gvardeytseva, creative director of Getbob Bigital Agency Ilya Kukharev, and other big names in Belarus’ advertising, marketing, PR, event industry, and public speaking. Apart from the master classes, the forum will feature an open discussion on communication trends along with debates.

The student PR forum has originated from the student “PR readings” held in Minsk in April 2007. The initiators were fourth-grade students of the Institute of Journalism of Belarusian State University. The first open student PR forum took place in April 2008. The idea of the event was developed by candidate of Candidate of Philosophy, docent Irina Sidorskaya. The event brought together around 250 participants from Belarus and the neighboring countries.
