Minsk Gymnasium-College of Arts to hold international art festival

MINSK, 13 March (BelTA) – The international ART-Fest event will take place at the Minsk State Gymnasium-College of Arts from 15 to 17 March, BelTA learned from the institution.

“This festival marks the launch of the project “100” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the gymnasium-college. We invite our partners to have a dialogue, exchange experience, and promote art in all its forms. We want to provide our guests with an opportunity to plunge into the atmosphere of comfort, beauty, and co-creation,” director of the Minsk Gymnasium-College of Arts Lilia Mitsura noted.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for 15 March along with painting master classes, exhibitions, and excursions. On 16 March, teachers from Belarus, Russia, and Lithuania will share their experience in art education at the international conference headlined “From traditions to the modern age through the experience of masters”. The forum is expected to bring together representatives of art schools from Gzhel, Kaliningrad, Chernyakhovsk, Vilnius, Bobruisk, Mogilev, and other cities. A number of cooperation agreements will be signed during the conference.

The festival guests and participants will see an eventful cultural program: a production of Yanka Kupala’s “Paulinka” by the studio theater of the Minsk Gymnasium-College of Arts, a visit to the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater, and an ethnographic excursion.

The project “100” includes a series of exhibitions, master classes, meetings with prominent figures, and the publication of a book about the gymnasium-college.
