Minsk among top weekend getaways for Russians in March

MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) – An online survey revealed that Minsk is one of the most popular cities among Russian travelers in March 2019, BelTA has learned from the TurStat analytical agency.

Saint Petersburg tops the ranking followed by Paris, Sochi, Rome, Astana, Moscow, Yaroslavl, Minsk, Prague, and Yalta. Baku, Kazan, Berlin, Yerevan, and Tallinn rounded up the top 15 destinations for Russian holidaymakers.

“Saint Petersburg won 22% of votes as the best getaway for the International Women’s Day on 8 March. France’s capital Paris scored 18%, Sochi 10%, Rome 9%, Astana 8%, Moscow and Yaroslavl 6% each, Minsk and Prague 5% each, Yalta 4%,”the agency said.
