Lukashevich: Belarus is proud of its all‑weather partnership with China

Lukashevich: Belarus is proud of its all‑weather partnership with China

MINSK, 11 September (BelTA) – Belarus is truly proud of its all‑weather partnership with China, Belarus’ First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lukashevich said at the presentation of the Chinese‑language edition of the book “Belarus: United and Unconquerable. Minsk”, BelTA has learned.

“We are turning a new, vivid page in the cultural dialogue between Belarus and China, and that page is the album by writer and collector Vladimir Likhodedov “Belarus: United and Unconquerable. Minsk”, co‑authored with Svetlana Khoruzhik. But this book is much more than just a photo album. It is a journey through time – a profound, poignant story about the fate of our people, in which the fate of Minsk is reflected. A city that endured unimaginable tragedy, was wiped from the face of the earth, yet, thanks to the incredible strength of spirit of our people, rose from the ashes to become a true symbol of courage and of life triumphing over death,” he noted.

“The release of this book in the language of a friendly nation is another symbol that relations between Belarus and China are built not only on a solid foundation of economy and politics. Their basis is a sincere mutual interest in each other, in our cultures, and in our historical memory.”

“Belarus is truly proud of the special all‑weather partnership with China that unites us. We always support each other, from grand joint projects to seemingly small‑scale, yet infinitely important cultural initiatives like the one we are attending today. It is precisely such projects, like this book, that remind us that a strong bond between countries is, above all, a bond between people,” Sergei Lukashevich said.
