Lukashenko visits Halk Hakydasy Memorial Complex in Ashgabat

ASHGABAT, 11 December (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko had a short excursion to the Halk Hakydasy Memorial Complex (People’s Memory) in Ashgabat, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian head of state laid a wreath at the monument to the victims of the Great Patriotic War.

The memorial complex was unveiled October 2014. It includes a monument in honor of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and monuments commemorating the victims of the Battle of Geok Tepe and the Ashgabat earthquake. There is a museum near the memorial complex. The monuments are surrounded by fountains and flower beds.

Alexander Lukashenko left a note in the Book of Distinguished Guests at the museum. Lukashenko visits Halk Hakydasy Memorial Complex in Ashgabat
