VITEBSK, 16 July (BelTA) – Belarusian President, Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia Aleksandr Lukashenko presented the 2025-2026 Union State Prize for Literature and Art at the opening ceremony of the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk on 16 July. The prizes were awarded to cultural figures who have made a significant contribution to strengthening friendship between the peoples of Belarus and Russia, BelTA has learned.
The 2025-2026 awards were approved at a meeting held of the Union State Supreme State Council in February 2026.





Vitaly Kulbakov, Chief Conductor of the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus, received the honor for his concert programs that help strengthen friendship and all-round cooperation between Belarus and Russia.
Russian laureates included Lyubov Podlesnova and Nadezhda Babenko, who were recognized for their exhibition “Immortality of the feat. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from Nazi invaders.” Another award went to Vladimir Malyshev, Irina Zernova, Nina Kochelyayeva, and Diana Koblenkova for their initiative “Film education: CIS joint educational projects.”
