MINSK, 18 September (BelTA) – Belarus’ Ivan Liutarevich and the UK’s Joshua Paris were the first to reach the doubles final at the €160,000 ATP Challenger 100 tournament in Rennes, France, BelTA has learned.
In the semifinals on 18 September, the Belarusian-British duo defeated the French tandem of Arthur Reymond and Luka Sanchez in straight sets 6–4, 7–5. In their opening round match, Liutarevich and Paris beat the British duo of Finn Bass and Scott Duncan 6–4, 7–5, before overcoming the American-Venezuelan pair of Zachary Fuchs and Brandon Perez 3–6, 6–2, 10–5 in the quarterfinals.
Belarusian tennis player Sergey Betov and India’s Chirag Duhan will face the Greek duo of Markos Kalovelonis and Evangelos Kypriotis in the doubles semifinals of the ITF 15 tournament in Hurghada, Egypt. In the round of 16, Betov and Duhan defeated the Indian-American duo of Svarmanyu Singh and Zachary Mintz 6–3, 6–4, before proving stronger than the German-British tandem of Aaron Funk and Finn Reilly 6–3, 6–1 in the quarterfinals.
The tournaments in Rennes and Hurghada will conclude on 20 September.
