Little Belarusians dazzle in The Nutcracker in France

MINSK, 12 December (BelTA - Little Belarusian ballet dancers performed The Nutcracker ballet in France, BelTA learned from the Embassy of Belarus in France.

The students of The Marina Vezhnovets Ballet School participated in the first Belarusian Theater Seasons in France, held in the cities of Clemont-Ferrand and Lyon. Marina Vezhnovets, the founder of the children ballet school, is a principal dancer of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus. The performances of her little students in France were a sell-out success and got numerous encores.

The Nutcracker production to Tchaikovsky's timeless score featured more than 40 dancers, some of them were 5 to 13 years old. The artists showed a high level of mastery. The choreographers and young dancers held several workshops for the students of the Clermont-Ferrand Conservatoire.

The performances were organized by the Belarusian Embassy in France with the support of Clermont-Ferrand city administration, Clermont-Ferrand Opera Theater and Bel’Art Association (Lyon). Financial assistance was provided by Belarus’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Domostroeniye company (Belarus) and Logibat company (Metz, France).
