Lake Naroch in top five CIS resorts popular with Russian tourists

MINSK, 16 May (BelTA) – Lake Naroch has been named among the top five CIS resorts popular with Russian tourists for the upcoming summer, BelTA learned from the online travel service Travel.ru.

The top five features Lake Issyk-Kul (Kyrgyzstan), Batumi (Georgia), Borovoye (Kazakhstan), Sukhumi (Abkhazia) and Lake Naroch (Belarus). According to the online hotel booking service Oktogo.ru, Russian tourists book accommodation on the shores of Lake Naroch for an average of eight days.

The top ten resort destinations for Russian tourists in summer 2016 include Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Spain, Italy, Montenegro, Croatia, Portugal, France, and Georgia.

The ranking was compiled based on the number of hotel reservations made by Russian tourists traveling independently from 1 June to 31 August 2016.
