Kobyakov, Medvedev lay flowers at Memorial Chapel in Buinichi Field

Prime Ministers of Belarus and Russia Andrei Kobyakov and Dmitry Medvedev laid flowers at the Memorial Chapel in Buinichi FieldMOGILEV, 12 May (BelTA) - Prime Ministers of Belarus and Russia Andrei Kobyakov and Dmitry Medvedev laid flowers at the Memorial Chapel in Buinichi Field, BelTA has learned.

The heads of government observed a minute of silence to pay tribute to the memory of the defenders of Mogilev. In the Memorial Chapel Dmitry Medvedev made an entry in the book of distinguished guests: “Memory about all defenders of the Fatherland who were killed in Buinichi Field will remain in our hearts forever.” Then heads of government took a stroll along the alley named in honor of the 70th Anniversary of Victory and laid flowers to the Konstantin Simonov Memorial Stone.

Prime Ministers of Belarus and Russia Andrei Kobyakov and Dmitry Medvedev laid flowers at the Memorial Chapel in Buinichi FieldBuinichi Field is one of the most famous memorial complexes of Belarus dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. The memorial complex was opened on 9 May 1995 to commemorate the heroism of all defenders of Mogilev during the Great Patriotic War, in particular the soldiers of the 388 rifle regiment of the 172nd rifle division and Mogilev citizens.
