IT Country Belarus in spotlight of upcoming telecommunications forum TIBO 2018

MINSK, 7 May (BelTA) – The 25th international forum on information and communication technologies TIBO 2018 will take place in Minsk on 14-18 May. The forum will include an international specialized expo and a Belarusian congress on information society technologies. IT Country Belarus will be in spotlight of the forum, representatives of the Belarusian Communications and Informatization Ministry told BelTA.

This year’s forum will focus on the strategy for comprehensive digital transformation. “These matters are particularly important due to the adoption of the Digital Economy Development Ordinance, which has enabled unique legal conditions and opportunities for the effective digital transformation of the Belarusian state and the society with a view to bolstering the competitive ability of the national economy, living standards of the nation, and forming an IT country,” said the source.

The IT Country Belarus exposition will feature innovative R&D products in the sphere of information technologies and their possible applications in healthcare, education, public security, transportation, agriculture, and so on. Promising technologies and the country’s IT potential will be demonstrated by resident companies of the Hi-Tech Park. Visitors will be able to get familiar with the internationally recognized Belarusian IT products such as interactive multitouch LED panels Newline and digital education solutions, the World of Tanks game, the virtual reality suit Teslasuit, the Hypervsn device for displaying 3D images, the medical implant Narcine for neural stimulation using electricity, the cloud-powered platform for monitoring public security KIPOD Safe City, and other things.
