H.O.G. Rally Minsk 2017 scheduled for 16 SeptemberMINSK, 31 August (BelTA) – H.O.G. Rally Minsk 2017 will wrap up the motor season in the Belarusian capital on 16 September, BelTA learned from the motor rally’s organizers.

The event is going to draw participants from Belarus, Russia, the Baltic countries, and Western Europe. The festival is in Harley-Davidson’s event calendar.

A motorcycle parade will take place in the streets of Minsk. Many thousands of bikers accompanied by Strela (Arrow), a special road patrol unit of the Belarusian traffic police (GAI), will ride down Minsks’ main avenues from the Mound of Glory to the Palace of Sports. The show will start at noon.

Viewers will watch a performance by Harley-Davidson’s best stunt riders. Those who have an appropriate driving license will be able to ride ten legendary motorcycles. The program features a drift show G-Drive, a stunning motorcycle show The Sphere of Courage, and unique motorcycles from around the world at the Custom Bike Show. Traffic policemen and entertainers are going to educate and keep children company at a special interactive venue.

The Belarusian traffic police will administer driving examinations to those qualifying for the A1 category.

The festival will see an international CrossFit championship which will gather over 3,000 athletes from throughout the world. The event is expected to finish with festive fireworks.

Visa-free entry will be introduced for foreign guests coming to Belarus to attend H.O.G. Rally Minsk 2017. Bikers are set to visit Belarus’ landmarks in the run-up to the gathering.

The festival is organized by the H.O.G. Iron Birds biker club in cooperation with Harley Davidson Russia and CIS, the Minsk City Hall, the Belarusian traffic police, and the State Customs Committee. The event is meant to promote friendly relations between countries and develop tourism in Belarus.

As of today, there are over 400,000 bikes registered in Belarus, 13,000 of them in Minsk.
