Gold, bronze for Belarus at 2021 ECA Canoe Sprint European Championships

MINSK, 4 June (BelTA) – Belarus won gold and bronze medals at the 2021 ECA Canoe Sprint European Championships in Poznan, Poland, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus.

Pavel Miadzvedzeu, Ilya Fedarenka, Kiryl Nikitsin, and Vitaliy Bialko won the K4 Men 1000m event in 3:02.023. Silver went to Hungary (+0.673). Russia was third (+1.827). Belarus was also first in the event in Belgrade in 2018.

Bronze was collected by Alena Nazdrova of Belarus in the C1 Women 500m. The Belarusian clocked 2:13.245. Ukraine’s Liudmyla Luzan clinched gold (2:07.235). Silver went to Hungary’s Virag Balla (2:13.332).
