Gerasimov into Sardegna Open second round

MINSK, 5 April (BelTA) – Egor Gerasimov of Belarus went off to a good start at the Sardegna Open in Cagliari, Italy on 5 April, BelTA has learned.

In the opener the Belarusian, ranked 80 in the world, defeated Argentine’s world number 48 Guido Pella 6-4, 6-0. Egor Gerasimov will next face either Slovenia’s world number 58 Aljaz Bedene or Italy’s world number 313 Guilio Zeppieri.

The tournament in Cagliari will complete on 11 April.
