French booth at Minsk Book Fair to focus on tourism

MINSK, 8 February (BelTA) – During the 23rd Minsk International Book Fair the French book booth will focus on travel opportunities in Brittany, representatives of the Embassy of France in Belarus told BelTA.

According to the source, the Embassy will traditionally take part in the forum. Many guests from France — writers and book industry specialists — will tell the Belarusian public how their art is connected to this region of France. The book store La Boucherie will present a number of new books as well as book products that reflect the latest trends in French-speaking literature in French, Russian, and Belarusian.

The guests from France will include Francois Plas (author, books for children and teenagers, illustrator), Irene Frain (author), Jean-Philippe Arrou-Vignod (author, books for children and teenagers), Stan Silas (comics author), Olivier Poivre d'Arvor (author), Christophe Mory (author, books for children and teenagers), and other people.

The French book publishers and authors are expected to take part in multiple literature meetings and autograph sessions with readers, in master classes and roundtable sessions. By the way, books will be presented via a prize draw in the French booth at 17:00 every day.
