Flag, anthem back for Belarusian gymnasts on international stage

MINSK, 18 May (BelTA) - The International Gymnastics Federation has allowed Belarusian athletes to compete with their national flag and anthem, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.

Following a meeting of the World Gymnastics Executive Committee, it was decided to allow Belarusian and Russian gymnasts of all ages to compete with their flag and anthem, without any restrictions. The decision takes effect immediately.

The ruling applies to artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline jumping, sports acrobatics, and sports aerobics.
