“2019 is the year when we celebrate the 75th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from Nazi invaders. This theme will be fully reflected in the nationwide festivities. The solemn event will be traditionally attended by senior officials, the heads of the government agencies, war and labor veterans from Belarus, foreign guests, including war veterans from abroad, artists, representatives of talented youth, culture and art, famous athletes and many others. The program will feature themed episodes which will reflect the milestones in Belarus’ liberation and building of the sovereign state,” Inna Adamovich said.

The concert will be a dynamic stage spectacle with the use of the latest technical means with carefully chosen video content. Every act will have massive video support. The line-up will include best art companies from the country, leading actors of Minsk theaters, Honored Aad People’s Artists of Belarus Yadviga Poplavskaya, Anatoly Yarmolenko and Syabry band. “We also expect honored artist of Belarus Angelika Agurbash and Piotr Yelfimov,” Inna Adamovich noted.

In the light of the big anniversary, the 3 July events will be held in an entirely new format and themed around the Belarus Remembers! event. “They will start with a procession of memory Belarus Remembers! from Independence Avenue to Yakub Kolas Square and will be the final event of the same-name nationwide campaign which started ahead of Victory Day in May. The campaign has been co-authored by the Belarusian BRSM Youth Union, the Culture Ministry with the participation of the Minsk city authorities, the Defense Ministry. The guards of honor will carry the garland 16 meters long,” Inna  Adamovich noted. In addition, the event will be attended by youth and 24 veterans. The garland, wreaths and flowers will be laid at the Victory Monument.
