Dream Dance Fest: 17 troupes take the stage at Slavianski Bazaar

Dream Dance Fest: 17 troupes take the stage at Slavianski Bazaar

VITEBSK, 14 July (BelTA) – The 8th Dream Dance Fest, held as part of the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, featured dance troupes from Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan, BelTA has learned.

In 2026, the 8th Dream Dance Fest international project brought 17 dance troupes to the Vitebsk stage. The participants came from various cities across Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. The young performers showcased routines that varied widely in style, rhythm, tempo, and character. The famously unpredictable weather of Slavianski Bazaar even inspired a performance by one of the groups. Instead of rain, the dancers dedicated their routine to fog, creating a highly fluid and mysterious atmosphere. Meanwhile, young dancers from Baranovichi portrayed “bikers,” and their energetic “Motor Jive” filled the venue with vibrant energy. Following their performance, the boys and girls shared their impressions with BelTA. “We are really happy with our performance, but if we were given a second chance to go out on stage, we would dance even better because we wouldn’t be as nervous. Our group is amazing, everyone is so friendly, and our instructor is the kindest – she never raises her voice at us. Before the contest, we practiced for about two or three months, going to rehearsals every single day. Of course, we got tired, but we absolutely loved it. This is our first time in Vitebsk, and your city is beautiful,” the young stars said. The girls admitted that if they win the contest, they will cry tears of joy.

Dance troupes from Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan showcased their rich cultural heritage on stage. They captivated the audience with their vibrant costumes, flawless synchronization, and captivating artistry.

The jury that included choreographers from Belarus and Russia evaluated the performances based on technical execution, composition, artistic presentation, and overall showmanship. Following the competition, the top-performing group will be awarded the prestigious Grand Prix.
