Daniel Yastremsky will represent Belarus at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018

Belarus, which hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2010, will again become the venue of the biggest song contest that will see a record number of participants. Daniel Yastremsky, the winner of the Eurovision 2018 national selection, dubbed Belarusian Justin Bieber, will do his best to conquer Minsk Arena and the hearts of the audience.

Daniel Yastremsky’s career

14-year-old Alex (this is the second name of the artist) was born in Cincinnati, USA. When he was three, his family returned to Belarus. Daniel graduated from music school (piano department), was a soloist in a choir, and attended the Igor Krutoy Academy of Popular Music.

The young singer had already taken part in several TV shows and contests, like Ukraine’s Got Talent. Kids and New Wave Junior. He also took part in the casting for the Russian The Voice. Kids.

Song for Eurovision 2018

Daniel will perform the song Time at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Minsk. The song is about time that can help people find happiness. According to Daniel, his act will show the world a young and trendy Belarus.

The slogan of Yastremsky’s promotional campaign is TIME. I’M from Belarus. Daniel’s Eurovision photo shoot made under the same slogan demonstrates the modern youth interested in culture, literature and history. 

Preparations for the Junior Eurovision 2018 in Minsk

Daniel Yastremsky’s preparations for the contest scheduled for 25 November are in full swing. The singer spends most of his time rehearsing, touring Belarusian cities with his promotional campaign, giving concerts and learning English.

The singer is working with a team of professionals: a photographer, a stylist, a makeup artist, a designer. Daniel’s best friend Helena Meraai who represented Belarus at Junior Eurovision 2017 in Tbilisi offers great support and gives a lot of advice. Daniel’s friends and parents support him in his aspirations to become a famous musician.
