Bikers from 15 countries to take part in H.O.G. Rally Minsk 2017

MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – Bikers from 15 countries including the UK and Saudi Arabia will come to the Belarusian capital to celebrate the end of the motorcycle season H.O.G. Rally Minsk 2017, Director of H.O.G. Russia & CIS Sergei Kamenev told the media on 5 September, BelTA has learned.

The motorcycle season is a good opportunity to attract tourists. “The biker is a family man. He will see the city and the country and understand that this place is worth coming back to,” Sergei Kamenev said.

The special thing about this year’s festival will be a drift show G-Drive featuring bikes and cars. “This is a quite unique program, the first of a kind in the CIS. There will be plenty of other surprises, too,” the organizer remarked.

Deputy Head of the Sports and Tourism Department at the Minsk City Hall Svetlana Demeshko stressed that H.O.G. Rally Minsk became a sort of a trademark for the capital. Such events have a positive effect on the city’s image. She added that Minsk is ready to receive a large number of guests as new hotels, coffeehouses, and restaurants are opening, the infrastructure is being modernized, and the cultural facilities are renovated.

“We are looking forward to the festival and believe that everything will go smoothly. The festival is a great entertainment for Minskers. It also encourages people to go in for sport and helps attract tourists,” Svetlana Demeshko said.

H.O.G. Rally Minsk 2017 will take place in Minsk on 16 September. The event is going to draw participants from Belarus, Russia, the Baltic countries, and Western Europe. The festival is in Harley-Davidson’s event calendar. It is organized by the H.O.G. Iron Birds biker club in cooperation with Harley Davidson Russia and CIS, the Minsk City Hall, the Belarusian traffic police, and the State Customs Committee. H.O.G. Rally Minsk 2017 is meant to promote friendly relations between countries and develop tourism in Belarus.
