MINSK, 17 June (BelTA) – BelTA News Agency will arrange a photo exhibition “The Union State - unity of peoples, cultures, and countries” during the Days of Belarusian Culture in Russia, which will be held from 19 to 22 June, BelTA informs.

The exposition will feature 30 photos made by BelTA photojournalists describing various aspects of the life of the Union State. The photos capture significant moments and most important political events. The photo-chronicle tells about the joint programs and activities in industry, defense and social sphere.

But the most important asset of the Union State is its people. The peoples of Russia and Belarus share culture and traditions, and this creates the most solid foundation for the Union State. The exhibition will open on 21 June.

Members of the Belarusian delegation and representatives of the host party will hold a press briefing on the occasion of the Days of Culture.

The National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater will show the Vitaut ballet production on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia in the evening of 21 June.

The largest of them are the International Festival of Arts Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk which will mark its 25th anniversary this year. The brightest joint projects include the Yuri Bashmet International Festival and Vladimir Spivakov Invites.

Among the joint projects was the reconstruction of the South-Eastern Barracks of the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial and a new exhibition the War Museum – Territory of Peace in the Brest Fortress. The Belarusian and Russian culture ministries are working on the Union State draft program “Perpetuation of the memory of the Fatherland defenders and victims of wars”. This program provides for financing major repairs of the Fifth Fort and South Barracks of the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial and of the memorial commemorating the First World War in Smorgon, Grodno Oblast.

National Film Studio Belarusfilm and the TV and Radio Broadcasting Organization of the Union State have made a historical movie “Brest Fortress” which was successfully screened in Belarus and Russia.
