A book premiere, a paint-by-numbers canvas, cimbalom covers of popular songs, and autograph sessions with famous artists – all of this awaits visitors on Saturday, 5 September, at the BelTA pavilion during Belarusian Written Language Day in Kostyukovichi. This is definitely not to be missed! Here are all the important details.

The main theme will be the Year of the Belarusian Woman, and BelTA will showcase every facet of Belarusian women’s beauty and talent. Throughout the day, guests will be able to take part in an artistic flash mob, painting a picture by numbers, led by Lolita Shish, a master of art history and librarian at the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The finished canvas, featuring a bright and colorful image, will be presented as a gift to the town of Kostyukovichi as a keepsake of the Belarusian Written Language Day celebration held here.

At the BelTA pavilion, poetess, playwright, and head of the Mogilev regional branch of the Belarusian Union of Writers Olga Belova will hold a meeting with readers. She will share insights into how books are created and answer questions from the audience. Additionally, visitors will have the chance to take home a signed copy of her book The Fashionable Little Bee.

The next series of events will begin closer to noon. On 5 September, BelTA will present its new book dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Dazhynki harvest festival. The publication contains information and unique photographs from every celebration of the harvesters since 1996, when the festival debuted in Stolin.

Virtuoso performances of classical compositions and covers of world hits on the cimbaloms will be delivered by Yekaterina Kovanova, a laureate of international competitions.

There will also be a meeting with People’s Artist of Belarus, composer Eduard Khanok, who gave the world such timeless hits as Malinovka and Zavirukha. Eduard Khanok will not only talk with attendees but also perform several popular hits beloved by younger audiences.

A large-scale flash mob will also take place near the BelTA pavilion, featuring female judokas from the Kostyukovichi children’s and youth sports school. The athletes will hold master classes, demonstrating the dynamics and techniques of exercises at various levels.

The highlight of the first day will be a meeting and autograph session with Honored Artist of Belarus Irina Dorofeyeva. Join us for this warm and joyful occasion. See you at the BelTA pavilion!
