MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) - How many tourists visit Belarus? The National Statistical Committee Belstat has presented a statistical overview ahead of World Tourism Day, celebrated on 27 September, BelTA has learned.
In 2025, Belarus recorded 7.4 million visits. A total of 579,200 people from 86 countries visited the country as part of tour groups and organized trips. On average, they stayed for four days. The top countries by the number of organized tourists included Russia (more than 570,000 visitors), Latvia, Türkiye, China, and Estonia.
As for domestic tourism, there were 20.3 million trips within the country. Belarusians took more than 2.2 million organized trips around their home country, with 93.8% opting for one-day excursions.
In 2025, Belarus had 664 hotels and similar accommodation facilities. Their services were used nearly 2.7 million times - 49.7% of them Belarusian citizens. Last year, 503 health resorts, recreational and wellness organizations and other specialized accommodation facilities provided services more than 1.1 million times, including nearly 867,300 stays by Belarusians.
There are 1,441 rural homesteads operating in the tourism sector. They welcomed 472,500 tourists from 56 countries. On average, visitors stayed for two days. The most frequent guests at rural homesteads were Belarusians (nearly 449,500), followed by Russians (21,100), and visitors from Germany, Uzbekistan, and China.
