MINSK, 22 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian Week will be held in Paris from 24 June through 1 July in anticipation of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in France.

The Belarusian Week has been organized by the Belarusian Embassy in France and the Permanent Mission of Belarus to the UNESCO. The program of the Belarusian Week in Paris includes events to promote Belarusian history and culture among French authorities, businessmen, diplomats, and general public. They are also aimed at intensifying the cooperation with the Belarusian community in France.

A theatrical performance at the UNESCO headquarters scheduled for 24 June will be the highlight of the Belarusian Week. The 18th and 19th century-themed show will feature the honored group of Belarus Grodnenskaya Kapella and a dance group from Minsk. On 25 June, representatives of the Belarusian diaspora in France will perform the Belarusian anthem at Trocadero Square in Paris. The event has been organized by the Belarusian Embassy as part of the national campaign Let's Sing the Anthem Together.
