MINSK, 14 July (BelTA) – Belarusian State University has been named among the top five universities in Western and Central Europe, and the Commonwealth of Independent States in the QS World University Rankings 2017-2018, BelTA learned from the press service of the university.

The British rating agency Quacquarelli Symonds named the best national universities of the QS World University Rankings 2017-2018. Belarusian State University was ranked fifth in Western and Central Europe, and in the CIS. This list includes one best university from each of the eighty countries represented in the ranking.

According to the QS Rankings, Belarusian State University strengthened its positions in the global scientific and educational space, climbing 20 places up to the 334^th position.
