MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) - With the support of the Embassy of Belarus in Egypt, the Belarusian State Academic Theater for Young Spectators took part in the 33rd Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre and won the Best Performance award, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The festival featured 14 theatrical productions from 13 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East from 1 to 8 September.
The Belarusian State Academic Theater for Young Spectators presented the contemporary youth production Zhenya + Tanya = Love, inspired by Alexander Pushkin’s novel in verse Eugene Onegin.
“Following the competition, the Republic of Belarus received awards in two of the six categories: Best Actress for Yekaterina Krylova, who played Tatyana Larina, and the Best Performance award,” the press service said.
