Belarusian judokas win medals at Tashkent Grand Prix 2019

MINSK, 23 September (BelTA) – Belarusian judokas Nikita Svirid and Daniel Mukete won bronze medals at the IJF Grand Prix 2019 in Tashkent, BelTA has learned.

Both the Belarusians competed in the 100kg weight category. In the semifinal Nikita Svirid lost to Russia’s Kazbek Zankishiev, while Daniel Mukete lost to Zelim Kotsoyev of Azerbaijan. In the bronze medal bout Daniel Mukete proved too strong for Serbia’s Bojan Dosen, Nikita Svirid took a confident win over Viktor Demyanenko from Kazakhstan.
