Belarusian Industrial Investment Forum to be held in Minsk on 17-20 September

MINSK, 5 August (BelTA) –  The Belarusian Industrial Investment Forum will take place in Minsk on 17-20 September. The forum will be an umbrella event for several international specialized exhibitions, BelTA learned from the organizers.

The exhibition project will be held under the auspices of the government. This is one of the CIS biggest showcase of modern technology. The forum seeks to give a boost to the hi-tech manufacturing industry, facilitate implementation of cutting-edge technology and equipment, raise investment, and build new partnerships.

The international themed exhibitions to be held as part of the forum include TekhInnoProm, Profsvarka, Chemistry. Oil and Gas, Plastekh, Belarus-Japan Economic Forum, Belarus-Slovakia Industry and Innovation Forum and a welding competition.

The program of the forum features international symposiums, conferences and round tables to discuss modern technologies and equipment for the manufacturing industry, prospects of additive technologies, and the use of composite materials in the petrochemical industry. There will also be a subcontracting exchange, a fair of innovative solutions, an event to discuss innovative cooperation strategies in science and industry, seminars and presentations. Participants of an international conference are to discuss prospects of establishing a smart industry in Belarus.

The forum has been held since 1997. Over the years, companies from more than 30 countries have taken part in it; national expositions of Ukraine, the Czech Republic and China were arranged.

Every year 200-300 exhibitors showcase their products and services at the expo; about 150 companies have become regular exhibitors.

Russian regions and member states of the Eurasian Economic Union are showing an increasing interest in the forum. Over the years, large collective expositions were presented by companies from Novgorod Oblast, Novosibirsk Oblast, Volgograd Oblast, Lipetsk Oblast, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Samara Oblast, Penza Oblast, Ryazan  Oblast, Tatarstan, Mordovia, Omsk, and the Northwestern Federal District of the Russian Federation.

The exhibition project is organized by the EXPOFORUM exhibition company with assistance from the central government, executive committees of all regions and the city of Minsk, public associations.
